Turned a complex product launch into one cohesive story across every web touchpoint

1Password was preparing to launch version 8, its biggest product redesign in years that introduced a unified design language across all platforms and shifted from one-time licenses to a subscription model. The challenge wasn’t just updating a few pages on the marketing website. We needed to coordinate consistent storytelling across product screenshots for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, each with light and dark modes, multiple languages, and a phased rollout. Without a systematic approach, the digital experience risked feeling disjointed across all touchpoints, directly undermining the product’s core promise of a consistent experience regardless of where customers used 1Password.

As the web design lead for this project, I collaborated directly with one of the founders and teams across product marketing, content, design, and web engineering to define how campaign visuals would integrate with our design system while maintaining consistency. By developing a reusable component system and establishing a clear B2C family persona as our storytelling anchor, I made sure that every screenshot, landing page, and promotional asset felt cohesive no matter the platform or launch phase. This systematic approach enabled us to ship a consistent experience across homepage promos, product pages, download pages, app store features, and sign-in panels that reinforced the same message which drove strong early adoption, and positioned 1Password 8 as a meaningful upgrade across all platforms.
